Kohei Tokeshi Wiki

Kohei fought at the "Lethwei in Japan 4 FRONTIER" event, where he faced off against one of the top stand outs of Burmese Lethwei in Phyan Thwei for 5 rounds. After a passive 1st round Tokeshi lulled Thway into a technical fight, with the always aggressive Thway struggling on occassion to match his Japanese foes precision.

After landing a solid superman-punch to close round 3 Tokeshi began to swing the momentum his way, stunning Thway throughout the mid point of the bout and earning his respect. Despite this success his face began to show wear and tear and his body also from hard kicks landed by the Lethwei striker.

After an aggressive 4th round by Thwei the contest was stopped between rounds due to the excessive damage to Japanese fighter's right eye. Although a disapointing loss Tokeshi showed a good fight outstriking the Burmese brawler at times with superior technique and ring-craft, however the relentlessness of the wreckless Burmese man won out in the end.

In November 2017, Tokeshi fought at "2017 Lethwei Grand Prix in Japan" event under Lethwei rules at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. He took on a feared Burmese striker in Yan Naing Aung in what most considered an uphill battle, as his wife and 2 children also watched  ringside.

In what was the fght of the night both men went toe to toe in an all out technical brawl, much to the appreciation of the educated crowd. Heavy strikes of all kinds were thrown and eaten including many vicious upper headbutts by Tokeshi as a counter to Aung's clinch.

As the fight wore on Tokeshi began slipping and avoiding Aung's heavy whipping strikes, and began to steal the momentum. Gradually Aung began to show visible wear and tear, his once pathological ring-aggression also starting to wane. Capitalising on this, the well conditioned Tokeshi began opening up and punishing Naing Aung with low-kick after low-kick, high kicks, punches and superior ring-craft.

By round 4, Aung began struggling to land his strikes, as a mobile  and technical Tokeshi was now outclassing the Burmese brawler. A standing 8 count likely could have been issued at least once for Aung's benefit in the bout, but under the Lethwei rules of the event such a call is ilegal.

After 5 gruelling rounds the contest was declared a draw, with both competitors exhausted.

Fighting at the "Lethwei Japan 7 : Yuki" event, he took on another aggresive Lethwei striker in Min Htet Aung. After an energetic and bullish 1st round by the Burmese man Tokeshi was able to settle into the bout, all the while staving off several high octane flying knees and headbutts. As the round progressed he outgrappled his foe casually, disrupting his confidence and rhythm before landing strikes with intention, earning a knockdown and 2nd round stoppage in a packed Korakuen Hall
